Please present this confirmation letter for identification upon arrival at the Presentation Centre. We also suggest that you plan to arrive 10 minutes early for registration. It is anticipated that the tour will last approximately 90 minutes. Directions as well as parking information are provided below. For your convenience we do have unsupervised children's facilities at our Vancouver site, however we recommend that children under 8 years of age do not accompany you.

* Eligibility Requirements: Everyone is invited to attend our popular tour to learn about the benefits of vacation ownership with Point to Point Destinations, however, to receive the above gift you must meet the following eligibility requirements.

To be eligible to receive your gift you must be married or in a common law relationship (of a minimum of 3 years), and both spouses must be between the ages of 28 and 69 years. You must have a minimum combined household income of $60,000 CAN, be gainfully employed at the time of the tour, or retired with a consistent source of income. Both spouses must speak and understand English. Multiple families, friends, couples, and/or business colleagues are not eligible to attend a tour on the same day. Failure to meet eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the gift. No purchase is required but both spouses must be present and complete the entire tour. Point to Point Destinations Members, award recipients, current or former employees and those who have previously toured with us are ineligible. Our sponsor's complete terms and conditions for their gift are available at the time you attend your tour.

The "Call"

The first 'Call' came about 5:30 pm.
It was from Point to Point Destinations offering a 90 minute presentation about PTP Destinations timeshare program. In return for my 90 minutes of time, I would receive a 'free' gift. He mentioned that the free gift includes a free trip to Las Vegas (airfare and two nights accommodation). In addition there was a two for one coupon for a cruise. There was also an option to get Vancouver Canucks tickets instead of the Vegas trip.

Some verification questions:

1. Married or common law
2. Combined income of over $60,000 per year
3. Available to come in for the seminar with spouse.
   

After listening the agent for a while, he escalated my call to his manager to verify my details. Unfortunately, my wife was out of town, therefore would not be able to make the seminar time.

A week later, PTP followed up with me to schedule another appointment. After listening to his spiel again, once again I was passed on to his manager to verify my details.

The manager said that its more of an informational session without the high pressure sales and that it was a way for PTP to spread the word about their timeshare program.

Free trip to Vegas? Learn about timesharing? Sure why not give it a go - keep an open mind!

How I think they found me

From what I remember, back in June or July 2008 there was an interesting draw/contest on Global TV's Morning news. I remember from the morning news that the company name that was sponsoring the contest was Point to Point Destinations(PTP). I've heard of PTP Destinations previously and it seems like a reputable company. The PTP office is located on Hamilton Street, a street I go by just about every day. Therefore with my familiarity of PTP, I didn't hesitate to enter the draw.

I don't recall what the grand prize was for; never-the-less, I didn't receive a call telling that I won anything. Better luck next time...

Welcome to my new blog.
I'm very new to the world of blogging. I wanted to share my experiences and information about my personal quest to find the best timeshare property.

To tell you the truth, I wasn't actively looking for a timeshare property. It all started with a random phone call about attending a seminar about a timeshare property - in return a free trip to Las Vegas for two nights (air fare and two nights accommodation). Perhaps this sounds familiar to you! Have you received this call? Want to know what happened when you attend?

To begin this process, I didn't know that much about Timeshares. I know many people who own Timeshare properties So I thought this would be a good time to learn about them!
